Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peoples Champion (ranked 1297 p4p, 798 weight class) and Pete Tyler (ranked 157 p4p, 96 weight class). Champion comes to the cage accompanied by Aegukka. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Pete Tyler was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Tyler has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Tyler avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nice uppercut lands for Champion. That snapped Tyler's head back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tyler crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Champion - the referee stops the clock and Tyler gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Champion. Tyler manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Tyler throws a right and a left that Champion avoids nicely.
Champion scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Tyler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Champion.

Champion tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tyler was well out of range. Poor timing from Champion.
Champion throws the left hand but Tyler avoids the punch easily.
Tyler fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Champion on the side of the head.

Peoples Champion's cut is getting worse.
Champion walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Tyler checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Tyler scores with a counter punch that sends Champion to the canvas! Tyler smells blood - he's punishing Champion with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Champion has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pete Tyler!
A relieved looking Pete Tyler thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
