Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dante Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike lawrence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Genesis 12a. Mike lawrence has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones feints and as lawrence raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones stops lawrence from standing up.
lawrence preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

lawrence is looking for a triangle but Jones pushes his legs off easily.

Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if lawrence can do anything to dispel that myth.

Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by lawrence which made him look bad.

Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. lawrence tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag lawrence to the ground. lawrence escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
