Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gluteus Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rusty Kulikovo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maximus's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Baby Got Back. Gluteus Maximus has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gluteus Maximus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rusty Kulikovo!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kulikovo can pounce on him.

Kulikovo instigates a clinch.

Kulikovo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Maximus shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Maximus was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kulikovo is looking to get to half guard.
Kulikovo really wants to buck Maximus off and get back to his feet.

Maximus takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Maximus cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Maximus goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kulikovo is on top in guard.
Maximus is breathing heavily.
Maximus looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kulikovo wants to pass the guard but Maximus is keeping the position.
Maximus controls Kulikovo momentarily but Kulikovo frees himself.

Kulikovo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maximus looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Maximus bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Kulikovo throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Maximus wants to control but Kulikovo is keeping him busy.
Kulikovo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Maximus is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Gluteus Maximus will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!

Maximus takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Kulikovo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Maximus on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kulikovo. Kulikovo obviously looking to wear him down.
Gluteus Maximus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kulikovo lands a jab to the head.

It looks like Gluteus Maximus has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kulikovo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Maximus looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kulikovo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Maximus is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Maximus is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Kulikovo is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

and Kulikovo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Maximus won't be happy with that.
Kulikovo works to advance to full mount. Maximus defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Maximus is desperately trying to improve his position but Kulikovo has a good base and remains in mount.
Maximus wants to hold on but Kulikovo pushes him away.

Rusty Kulikovo has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kulikovo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Maximus is now in Kulikovo's guard. A big mistake from Kulikovo there, giving up the dominant position!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Maximus postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kulikovo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Maximus, into his guard.

Rusty Kulikovo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Kulikovo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kulikovo shoots in for a takedown but Maximus shows good takedown defense.

Maximus is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kulikovo has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kulikovo!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Kulikovo feints and as Maximus raises his hands in defense, Kulikovo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Maximus is trying to hold Kulikovo in close to prevent damage but Kulikovo has managed to pass into half guard.

Kulikovo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Gluteus Maximus showed his dominance in that final round.
