The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Theorist swings for the body but Furioto moves out of range.
Theorist listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

It looks like Maximus Furioto has been cut.
Theorist looks to land a combination but Furioto avoids it well.
Furioto seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Theorist moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Theorist lands with a thumping leg kick.
Theorist has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Furioto walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Maximus Furioto's cut is getting worse.

Theorist lands with a nice body punch.
Theorist punishes Furioto's body with a nice straight punch.
Furioto shoots for a double leg takedown but Theorist sprawls well. He's pushed Furioto's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Furioto on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Theorist throws a hook to the side of Furioto's head but Furioto sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Theorist lunges at Furioto with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Furioto's hand.
Furioto tries to move into range but Theorist moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Furioto scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Furioto is working for a kimura but Theorist is defending it quite comfortably.
Furioto prevents Theorist from standing back up.
Theorist tries to get to full guard but Furioto has control of the leg.
Theorist wants to get back to his feet.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Furioto prevents Theorist from improving his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
A slow jab from Theorist misses its intended target.
Theorist tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Furioto was well out of range. Poor timing from Theorist.

Theorist does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Furioto has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Theorist finds it's way round the side to connect with Furioto's head.
Theorist lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Furioto fails with a takedown attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Conspiracy Theorist dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Maximus Furioto's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Theorist enables Furioto to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Theorist manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Theorist wants to get back to his feet but Furioto is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Theorist is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Theorist controls Furioto momentarily but Furioto frees himself.

Theorist throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Furioto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Theorist pinned against the cage. Theorist gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Theorist is looking to regain half guard here but Furioto keeps moving and retains side control.

Furioto wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Theorist, who protects the arm well.
Theorist is trying to work for a sweep but Furioto has mounted him!

Furioto wants to finish this one by submission but Theorist is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Furioto.

Theorist is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Maximus Furioto overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Theorist wants to hold on but Furioto pushes him away.
Theorist holds on to Furioto as tight as he can, avoiding damage.

Maximus Furioto really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Bondi MMA 🏝️ logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
