Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stan Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andres Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Anderson.
Anderson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Anderson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Anderson throws a right hand that Young ducks under and follows up with a left that Young also avoids with ease.

Young trying to control the position.

Anderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Young has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anderson has managed to get both his arms back between Young's legs - danger averted.

Young isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Anderson stacks Young on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Anderson!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anderson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Young!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Anderson working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Young's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Anderson instigates a clinch.

Anderson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Anderson.

Anderson decides to stand back up. Anderson steps back and let's Young get back to his feet.
Young throws a hook to the side of Anderson's head but Anderson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Anderson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Anderson forces Young back against the cage and clinches.

Anderson has picked Young up - he's going for a ride! Anderson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Anderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Anderson stands up and beckons Young to join him on the feet.

Anderson dives in and scores a takedown into Young's guard.
Young is wriggling around but Anderson manages to pass to half guard.

Anderson slows the pace down in half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Anderson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Anderson darts in and clinches Young up against the cage.

Anderson manages to pull guard.
Young wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Anderson holds on and takes a little breather.
Young wanted to stand there but Anderson had control of the position.
Andres Anderson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Anderson is breathing heavily.

Young throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Anderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Young is looking to work some ground and pound but Anderson has wrist control.
Young has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Young stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Anderson is on top in guard.

Young striking off his back but it's not causing Anderson any problems.
Young wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Anderson is now in half guard.
Anderson not doing much here.

Young is trying to maintain the position but Anderson is very close to passing his half guard.

Anderson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Anderson scores with a takedown into Young's guard.
Anderson cracks Young with a solid left hand.

Anderson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Young is working an open guard so Anderson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Young as he avoids it easily.
Anderson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A head kick misses from Anderson.
Anderson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Young sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Anderson somewhat.

and Young counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Stan Young has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andres Anderson.

Anderson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Young, pushing him back against the cage.
Young tries for a takedown but Anderson manages to get underhooks.
Young tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Anderson just stands there and leans against the cage.

Anderson manages to break the clinch.
Young showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Anderson.
Young is looking to counter the offense by Anderson and move into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Young misses with a looping right.
Young blocks a head kick by Anderson.
Young tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Anderson manages to circle out of the way.
Young throws a looping overhand right but Anderson ducks down to avoid it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Andres Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

enabling Young to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Andres Anderson has been cut.
Anderson moves out of range as Young strikes.
Andres Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Anderson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Young throws a hook but Anderson avoids it easily.
Anderson wants to clinch up but Young keeps it at a distance.

Anderson is rocked!
Stan Young is winning the standup battle so far.
Anderson walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Anderson limp body while Young jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Stan Young!
Andres Anderson spoke after the fight, saying 'Thanks for the support. I'll work harder than ever to come back stronger.'.
