PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hex Manchester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffy Domer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manchester kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Amerika. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manchester shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Domer as he avoids it easily.

Domer is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Manchester is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Manchester is looking for a kimura but Domer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Manchester to get the leverage.

Manchester is pressing down on Domer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Domer is holding on for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Domer closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Domer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Manchester. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Manchester closes the distance but Domer moves to the side
and Domer counters with a two punch combo.

A close round but Jeffy Domer will probably get the nod.

Manchester wants to clinch

and Domer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Manchester's guard now.
Domer wants to get up but he can't break Manchester's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Manchester is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Domer is looking to stand up but Manchester won't let him.

Manchester is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Domer knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Domer for a finish.

Manchester working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Domer manages to stand up with Manchester still on his back. Eventually Manchester drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.

Domer clinches up with Manchester and pushes him back against the cage.
Domer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Manchester avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Domer lands a shoulder strike.

Manchester had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Domer is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Manchester Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Domer's back instead.
Domer rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Domer makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Domer explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Domer rushes Manchester and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Domer has his foot on Manchester's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Manchester works his way back into a safe position though.

Manchester is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Domer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Domer has escaped and now he's on top!

Domer gets to his feet - Manchester follows without any prompting.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Domer is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Manchester asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Domer is looking for a sweep.
Domer pushes Manchester away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Manchester gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Manchester is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Domer looks calm but he's in trouble here. Manchester gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Domer is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Manchester lets go of the hold and Domer can pop his arm back in it's socket.
