The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dredd misses with a looping left.
Almeida swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Vitor Almeida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dredd misses with a kick to the body
and Almeida counters with a nice uppercut.
A swing and a miss from Almeida.
Dredd lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Almeida bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dredd's head backwards.
Dredd throws a low kick but Almeida avoids it.

Dredd appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Dredd doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
