Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tournament Fighter (ranked 4375 p4p, 4769 weight class) and Kristo Orban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kristo Orban!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Orban lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Fighter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fighter appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Orban throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fighter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Orban looks for a takedown but Fighter sprawls well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fighter turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fighter manages to end up in side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Orban manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fighter's best efforts.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fighter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Orban turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Orban shoots in for a takedown but Fighter shows good takedown defense.
No luck for Orban with that takedown attempt.
Fighter changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A looping hook to the body misses from Orban. Fighter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Orban changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fighter tries to avoid it but Orban manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fighter to the ground. Fighter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tournament Fighter dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Orban jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Orban.

Orban shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fighter's guard.

Fighter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Fighter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Orban can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fighter has his foot on Orban's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Orban works his way back into a safe position though.

Orban is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fighter is just riding it out for now. Orban eventually gives up the hold.

Tournament Fighter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Fighter is looking for a sweep.
Orban controlling from side mount.
Orban trying to control the action but Fighter is working from the bottom.
Fighter is looking to regain half guard here but Orban keeps moving and retains side control.
You can see the frustration on Fighter's face as Orban controls the position.
Fighter is looking for a sweep.
Orban gets to mount! Fighter was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Orban is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Fighter to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Fighter shrugs it off.

Orban with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Fighter can't escape the position.
Orban looking to control but Fighter is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Let's hope that Orban has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Orban has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
