Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kook Kane (ranked 3294 p4p, 4544 weight class) and Test One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

One has managed to clinch.
One lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

It looks like Kook Kane has been cut.
One lands a shoulder strike.

Kook Kane's cut is getting worse.

One pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
One stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and One wants it to stay on the feet.
Kane avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

One tries to clinch up but Kane circles away and keeps his distance.

Kane shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. One is trying to defend but Kane finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
One tries to kick Kane off but Kane keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
One really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

One wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kane looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Kane is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and One defends it well.

Kane is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. One doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kane.

One is trying to stand.
One won't allow Kane to pass to mount.
Kane looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks One with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kane has his opponent's back but One is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Kane.

One gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kane jumps guard but One stands there with Kane around his waist. Kane gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

A nice glancing elbow lands by One.
This has been an exciting period of action!

One breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
One tries to clinch up.
Test One is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
One is looking to clinch.
Kane throws a push kick but One slaps the foot to one side.
One tries to close the distance and clinch but Kane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from One enables Kane to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. One manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
One can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kane controls the pace.
One is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kane is controlling him.

One instigates a clinch.
Kane is looking to control One's arms but One gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kane has his back to the cage.

One breaks from the clinch.
Kane throws a poor cross that misses
and One counters with a nice uppercut.
The fight stays on the outside here - One looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kane shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kane showed some decent athleticism there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kane works his foot free and advances to mount.
Kane has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
