Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Francesco Garrone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paulo Pupavarro!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pupavarro throws a shot from downtown. Garrone moves away and avoids it.
Pupavarro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pupavarro misses with a body shot
and Pupavarro takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pupavarro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Garrone's waist but Garrone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pupavarro off to one side.
Garrone punishes Pupavarro's body with a nice straight punch.
Garrone misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pupavarro.
Garrone misses with a two punch combination.
Pupavarro cracks Garrone with a good jab.
Pupavarro gets a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Garrone fails to land.
Garrone being controlled against the cage.
Pupavarro manages to break the clinch.
Garrone is pawing at Pupavarro, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Pupavarro's nose. Pupavarro is badly hurt! Garrone pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Pupavarro tries desperately to hold on but Garrone is relentless in his assault! As Pupavarro receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Garrone away and this one is in the books!
