PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Flacco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Greengrass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Flacco misses.
Greengrass tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flacco swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Greengrass fails with the takedown.

Flacco feints and as Greengrass raises his hands in defense, Flacco changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Greengrass holds on and takes a little breather.
Flacco trying to control the position from guard on top but Greengrass is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Flacco working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Greengrass lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Flacco!

Greengrass get's back to his feet.

Greengrass throws a sloppy head kick and Flacco moves out of range easily.

Flacco darts in and clinches Greengrass up against the cage.
Greengrass lands a knee to the head.

Greengrass pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Greengrass uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It looks like Phil Flacco has been cut.
Flacco is breathing heavily.
Flacco blocks a head kick by Greengrass.
Flacco shoots in for a double leg but Greengrass sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Greengrass forces Flacco back against the cage and clinches.
Flacco wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Greengrass has him pressed against the cage.

Greengrass breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Flacco looks for a takedown but Greengrass sprawls well.
Reggie Greengrass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Greengrass tries to clinch but Flacco is having none of it.
The crowd cheers as Greengrass lands an impressive looking overhand right. Flacco doesn't seem phased though.

and Flacco counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Greengrass!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Greengrass tries to lock up and control but Flacco gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Greengrass is trying desperately to improve position.
Greengrass is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Greengrass tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Greengrass sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Greengrass keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Flacco trying to control the action but Greengrass is working from the bottom.
Greengrass is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Flacco's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Flacco's back!

Greengrass is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Flacco is tapping out! This one is all over!
