Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Schmitt (ranked 5298 p4p, 5268 weight class) and Dennis Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jeffrey Schmitt has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jeffrey Schmitt seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jeffrey Schmitt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dennis Collins!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collins throws an off balance right hand
and Schmitt counters with a straight right hand.
Collins misses with a body shot.
The fighters circling - Schmitt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Schmitt takes a swing at Collins's ribcage but misses.
Schmitt moves out of range of the strikes.
Schmitt definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Collins throws a lazy uppercut
and Schmitt counters with a nice body shot.
Schmitt keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The fighters circling - Collins throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Collins doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Collins misses with a hook. Schmitt ducked under it nicely.
Collins throws out a loose jab but Schmitt uses good head movement to avoid it.
Schmitt misses with a looping right.
A slow jab from Collins misses its intended target.
Collins catches Schmitt with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Jeffrey Schmitt has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Collins misses with a looping left.
Schmitt is looking to counter punch.
Schmitt feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Collins sprawling to the canvas! Collins rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Schmitt finish him?!
Collins is rocked!
It looks like Dennis Collins has been cut.
Schmitt fakes the body blow, causing Collins to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Collins goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jeffrey Schmitt!
