Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dylan Batt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tetsuo Nakaya!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nakaya drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Batt working a defensive guard here.
Batt has momentary wrist control but Nakaya slips an elbow through the middle.
Nakaya is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Nakaya wants to pass the guard but Batt is keeping the position.
Nakaya wants to control from the top but Batt keeps moving.
Batt trying to keep a closed guard but Nakaya is proving a slippery customer.

Batt working for a triangle but Nakaya defends it easily.
Batt controls Nakaya momentarily but Nakaya frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nakaya stands up over Batt, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nakaya gets to his feet and stands over Batt, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Batt felt that one! Nakaya unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Batt from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tetsuo Nakaya!
