Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Presley Chai (ranked 1349 p4p, 1989 weight class) and John Karter (ranked 188 p4p, 273 weight class). John Karter has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Presley Chai's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Presley Chai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, John Karter!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chai tries to clinch but Karter is having none of it.
Chai lands with a cross.
Chai cracks Karter with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Karter fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Chai is looking to clinch.

We've been hearing reports that Chai has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Karter looks to land a combination but Chai avoids it well.
Chai lands with a straight right. Karter didn't see that one coming.

and Karter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Karter lands a big uppercut and Chai crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Chai looks OK. Karter waves Chai back to his feet!

A punch lands to the side of Karter 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Oh Chai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chai throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Karter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Chai seems to have got his legs back now.
Chai closes the distance looking to clinch
and Karter counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
John Karter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Karter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chai lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Karter circles away quickly and effectively.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Chai moves into the clinch successfully.
Karter looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Chai tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Karter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Chai slips a jab from Karter.

Chai darts in and clinches Karter up against the cage.
Chai keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Karter's efforts to push away.
Karter has had enough of the clinch but Chai keeps him there for the moment.

Chai wants the takedown. Karter is fighting it off but Chai persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Karter's guard against the cage.

Karter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chai is working away from the top position though.

Chai throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Karter to regain full guard.
Chai lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Presley Chai will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Karter can do anything to dispel that myth.

Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Chai moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Karter! Chai continues to tee off on Karter, landing with a left and a right! Chai connects with a right hand that leaves Karter sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Chai!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Presley Chai!
