Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Baldur Torsten (ranked 372 p4p, 266 weight class) and Tony Stark (ranked 60 p4p, 44 weight class). Torsten kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Temple of Odin. The key to victory for Baldur Torsten has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torsten scores with a jab.
Torsten rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Stark decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Torsten's guard.
Stark pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Torsten is keeping the position for now.
Stark is looking to work some ground and pound but Torsten has wrist control.

Torsten has his foot on Stark's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stark works his way back into a safe position though.
Torsten looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stark has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stark accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stark is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Stark postures up in Torsten's guard and throws a big left but Torsten blocks it.
Stark passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Torsten tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Stark looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Torsten is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Torsten tries to bench press Stark off him but Stark keeps the position.
Stark throws an elbow but Torsten slips to the side and avoids it well.

Stark has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Torsten is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Stark yanks on the arm and Torsten is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Stark.
