Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Herpes Perse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noob Saibot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perse wants to clinch.
Saibot avoids a punch combination nicely.
Perse will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Perse throws a hook to the side of Saibot's head but Saibot sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Perse winds up and cracks Saibot with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Saibot counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Saibot takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Saibot has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Perse off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Herpes Perse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Perse closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Perse lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perse wants to pass the guard but Saibot is keeping the position.

Perse feints and as Saibot raises his hands in defense, Perse changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Saibot tries to keep at a distance but Perse has taken the fight into the clinch.
