Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between DeVon Hampton (ranked 2157 p4p, 1769 weight class) and Pete Prescott (ranked 317 p4p, 273 weight class). Prescott has chosen Negative Creep - Nirvana as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, DeVon Hampton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pete Prescott!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hampton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Prescott counters with an inside leg kick.
Prescott throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Prescott counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Prescott punishes Hampton's body with a nice straight punch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hampton.
Prescott throws out a counter right but Hampton avoids it with no problem.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DeVon Hampton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hampton fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Prescott avoids it really well and circles away.

Hampton walks into a left hand.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hampton is defended easily by Prescott.
A shot to the body from Hampton misses
and Prescott counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Hampton keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Prescott looks to throw the jab but Hampton is out of range.

Prescott takes a swing at Hampton's ribcage but misses.

Prescott misses with an uppercut. Hampton saw that one coming.

Hampton's jab looks to have found its range, popping Prescott under the eye.
Prescott digs a good body shot into Hampton's ribs.
Pete Prescott is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Prescott cracks Hampton on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Hampton falls backwards against the cage. Prescott follows up with more strikes that drop Hampton to his knees. Prescott keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Hampton! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Pete Prescott thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
