Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Costa Yannou (ranked 4745 p4p, 4884 weight class) and Dom Diego (ranked 203 p4p, 215 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dom Diego!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yannou has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Diego finds it's way round the side to connect with Yannou's head.

It looks like Costa Yannou has been cut.
Diego scores with a jab. Yannou acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Diego looks to land a left hand but Yannou moved out of range nicely.
Yannou needs to keep his hands up - Diego had a free shot at his head there.
Diego swings widly with a right hand

and Yannou counters with a single leg into guard. Diego didn't expect that.
Yannou controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Yannou thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Yannou got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diego has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yannou has managed to get both his arms back between Diego's legs - danger averted.

Yannou drops back looking for a leg! Diego is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Diego manages to kick Yannou off! Yannou jumps back into Diego's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Diego wants to sweep here but Yannou controlling him for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yannou working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Yannou working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Diego's head.
Yannou cracks Diego with a solid left hand.
Yannou postures up.

Yannou drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yannou jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Yannou is working to tighten his grip on Diego's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Diego has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Yannou is really squeezing tight and eventually Diego passes out! Yannou breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
