Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Jonson (ranked 4281 p4p, 4385 weight class) and Erl Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Jonson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erl Walker!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonson looks for a takedown but Walker sprawls well.

Walker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jonson to the mat! Jonson manages to get full guard.
Jonson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Walker manages to get himself to full guard.

Walker is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jonson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Walker is trying to hold Jonson in close to prevent damage but Jonson has managed to pass into half guard.

Walker is looking to control Jonson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Walker avoid being mounted?
Jonson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jonson is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Walker is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Walker is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Jonson lands with a punch from half guard.
Jonson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Walker.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Walker tries to roll over but Jonson keeps him under control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Walker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jonson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jonson pushes Walker away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Walker gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Jonson is looking to regain half guard here but Walker keeps moving and retains side control.

Walker trying to control the position but Jonson is working away.
Check out the look on Walker's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walker wants to control but Jonson is keeping him busy.

Jonson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Walker circles away.
Jonson tries to clinch up but Walker circles away and keeps his distance.

Jonson is trying to break the clinch but Walker has him pressed against the cage.
Walker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jonson walks away with a smile on his face. Walker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jonson misses with a kick to the body.
Walker is looking for the big counter here.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jonson.
Jonson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Walker defends it nicely.
Walker tries to counter by closing the distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carl Jonson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker shoots in and drives through. Jonson sprawls well.

Walker has taken the fight to the clinch.

Walker has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Jonson regains guard immediately.

Jonson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Walker avoids it really well and circles away.

Walker closes the distance and pushes Jonson back into the cage.

Jonson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Walker moves out of range as Jonson throws a body kick.
Walker drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jonson defends it well.
Jonson swings for the body but Walker moves out of range.

Walker gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Walker is trying to pull guard but Jonson has him pressed against the cage.
Walker is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jonson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Walker throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jonson blocks it with crossed arms.
Jonson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jonson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Walker smiles and moves away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Walker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jonson is fending him off so far but Walker persists. Nope, Jonson circles away and we're back to standing.
Jonson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Jonson misses the jab.
Jonson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Walker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jonson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Walker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jonson moves away.
Jonson throws a combination. Walker tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jonson clinches up against the cage.
Jonson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Jonson is working for takedown but Walker is calmly controlling the position for now.
Walker is trying to pull guard but Jonson has him pressed against the cage.

Walker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jonson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Walker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
As Jonson backs off Walker throws a huge counter combo but Jonson manages to avoid it all.

Walker gets a double leg takedown into Jonson's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Walker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Erl Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Walker throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Walker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jonson's waist but Jonson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walker off to one side.

It looks like Erl Walker has been cut.
Carl Jonson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Walker is defended easily by Jonson.
Walker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jonson's waist but Jonson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walker off to one side.
Carl Jonson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erl Walker.

Jonson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Walker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jonson is in Walker's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jonson is looking to take a break and control but Walker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jonson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jonson tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Walker is staying active underneath Jonson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walker can do anything to dispel that myth.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jonson prevents Walker from standing back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jonson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jonson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Walker prevents Jonson from improving position.
Jonson happy to just control the position for now.

Jonson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Walker is looking for a sweep.
Jonson wants to stand but Walker is controlling his arm.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Walker shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jonson wants to stand back up but Walker manages to pass into side control.

Jonson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Walker has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Jonson is trying to get back to half guard.

Walker is trying to get an arm triangle but Jonson is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Walker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jonson keeps working.

And that's the end of the fight!
Carl Jonson showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Walker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
