Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Myles Ruth (ranked 540 p4p, 1219 weight class) and Vladimir Plusnin (ranked 71 p4p, 140 weight class). Myles Ruth could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Vladimir Plusnin's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ruth closes the distance and clinches.

Plusnin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ruth was covering up waiting for the punch and Plusnin finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ruth seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Plusnin's chin but Plusnin turns very nicely into Ruth's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Plusnin.

Ruth got a little sloppy there for a moment and Plusnin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ruth has managed to get both his arms back between Plusnin's legs - danger averted.
