Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roman Kos (ranked 3012 p4p, 3385 weight class) and Bryant Smith (ranked 376 p4p, 409 weight class). Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Television - Marquee Moon kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Kos with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A chopping leg kick lands by Smith.
Kos takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.
Kos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smith fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Smith scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Smith throws a big shot that misses.
Kos was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A little jabbing left from Smith on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Smith throws a leg kick but Kos sees it coming and moves out of range.

Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Kos moves out of range easily.

Smith uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kos.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kos moves away.
Bryant Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kos throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Smith stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Smith takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Smith throws a jab but it's blocked by Kos.
Kos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Smith thuds a left hand into Kos's body.
We've been told by Kos's head coaches at Brloh that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kos misses with an uppercut. Smith saw that one coming.
Kos avoids a punch combination nicely.

Smith let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Smith takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Smith takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Smith checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kos manages to avoid it.
A little feinted left hand from Kos on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Good exchange - Smith coming out on top.
Kos scores with a decent looking hook.
Nice uppercut there from Kos.
Smith walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kos.
Smith lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kos's sensitive parts.
Kos on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Kos takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Smith is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kos had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kos throws a body shot but no joy.
Kos fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice uppercut lands for Smith. That snapped Kos's head back.
Kos misses the body punch
and Smith counters with a left to the body.
Kos scores with a head kick. Smith tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Smith stuns Kos with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Smith lands a jab.
Smith looks to throw the jab but Kos is out of range.
Kos ducks right into an uppercut from Smith.

Kos is rocked!

It looks like Roman Kos has been cut.
Smith is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kos rather than just go for the knockout.
Smith lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Oh Kos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kos is breathing heavily.
Smith lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Kos head around and knocks him out cold! Smith hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
