Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Darius Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Cudlitz!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cudlitz goes for a double leg but Gracie avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gracie continues to drive forward.
Gracie half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Gracie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cudlitz is trying to defend but Gracie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Cudlitz wants to stand back up but Gracie manages to pass into side control.
Cudlitz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A lull in the action here as Gracie stalls from top position.

Gracie slows the pace down.

Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cudlitz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Gracie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Cudlitz wants to get back to his feet but Gracie drags him back down.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Cudlitz regains half guard, as Gracie was trying to land strikes.
Gracie not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Cudlitz blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gracie.
We've been hearing good reports from Gracie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Gracie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cudlitz's head.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cudlitz defends it well.
Gracie stops Cudlitz from getting back to his feet.
Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Cudlitz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Cudlitz is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gracie scores with a couple of nice shots.
Cudlitz wants to get back to full guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Cudlitz avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gracie.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cudlitz blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gracie.
Gracie missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Gracie throwing shots but Cudlitz is blocking nicely.
Gracie is trying to control. Cudlitz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Gracie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gracie stuffs the takedown attempt from Cudlitz. Cudlitz gets slowly back to his feet.
It looked like Gracie was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Cudlitz.

Gracie shoots in and bounces Cudlitz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Gracie throws a big right hand that misses.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Darius Gracie dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Gracie throws a right and a left that Cudlitz avoids nicely.
Cudlitz misses with a takedown attempt - Gracie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cudlitz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gracie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Cudlitz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gracie sprawls well initially but Cudlitz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gracie has hold of Cudlitz's hands but Cudlitz slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Cudlitz scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Gracie wants to control but Cudlitz is keeping busy.
Cudlitz trying to control from Gracie's half guard. Gracie has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Gracie wants to sweep but no luck.
Gracie is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cudlitz can do to turn this around?

Gracie throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Gracie looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Cudlitz is defending well. Gracie quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Cudlitz has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gracie celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Darius Gracie!
