Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Wetton (ranked 2331 p4p, 2569 weight class) and John McCoy (ranked 312 p4p, 328 weight class). John McCoy will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

McCoy's coach down at Elite Boxing Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on McCoy's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Wetton takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

McCoy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wetton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McCoy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wetton has hold of McCoy's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! McCoy tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wetton cranks the arm and McCoy screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from McCoy, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
