PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Heino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Master Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heino comes into the arena with Lamb of God - Now You've Got Something to Die for blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Pekka Heino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Master Miles!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heino drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Heino drops back looking for a leg! Miles is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Miles manages to kick Heino off! Heino jumps back into Miles's guard.

Heino got a little sloppy there for a moment and Miles has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Heino has managed to get both his arms back between Miles's legs - danger averted.

Miles is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Heino is aware though and is defending well.

Miles has his foot on Heino's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Heino works his way back into a safe position though.

Miles had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Heino is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Miles Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Heino's back instead.
Miles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Heino. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Heino rolls, trying to escape but Miles keeps control of the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Miles is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Miles has the hooks in. Heino is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Master Miles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Heino gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Heino manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Miles manages to get himself to full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Master Miles will probably get the nod.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Miles is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Heino has managed to free his arm - good work.

Miles is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Heino is just riding it out for now. Miles eventually gives up the hold.

Heino is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Miles is tapping! Great win for Heino!
