PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Kirk (ranked 735 p4p, 1196 weight class) and Edward Grubbs (ranked 107 p4p, 166 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Edward Grubbs was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Kirk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Grubbs!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kirk dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Grubbs. That did some damage!

Grubbs drops Kirk with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kirk looks back up at him and smiles so Grubbs waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Grubbs throws a monster overhand right that drops Kirk! Grubbs follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edward Grubbs!
Edward Grubbs seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
James Kirk was interviewed post fight and said 'KHAAAAAAN!'.
