Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles Garnier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aslan Bagrian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aslan Bagrian will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aslan Bagrian!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garnier moves away from the strike by Bagrian.
Bagrian circles away from the clinch attempt.

I looks like Bagrian might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bagrian accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Bagrian decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Garnier 's guard.
Garnier has momentary wrist control but Bagrian slips an elbow through the middle.

Bagrian is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Garnier had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bagrian is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Garnier Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bagrian's back instead.

Garnier is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Bagrian has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Well Bagrian has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
