Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 26 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Calixto Cardona!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alejandro Laguera!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Laguera as Cardona shoots in.

Cardona looks to land a left hand but Laguera moved out of range nicely.

Laguera punishes Cardona's body with a nice straight punch.
Laguera ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cardona moves away.
Cardona throws a hook to the side of Laguera's head but Laguera sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Laguera connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Laguera wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cardona, as that shot connected.
Cardona changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Laguera tries to avoid it but Cardona manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Laguera to the ground. Laguera escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Laguera uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cardona has time to react.
Laguera is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Cardona rather than just go for the knockout.

Nice takedown defense from Laguera. No joy for Cardona on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Calixto Cardona. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Laguera throws a good cross that connects.
Cardona connects with a body shot that sends Laguera's belly button to the back.
Cardona darts in looking for a takedown but Laguera gets double underhooks and turns Cardona into the cage.

Cardona wants to break free but Laguera has control.
Laguera has Cardona pressed against the cage, preventing Cardona from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Laguera gets through Cardona's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Cardona tries a head kick but it misses.
Laguera leaves Cardona with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Laguera swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Laguera bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cardona's head backwards.
Oh Cardona is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Laguera cracks Cardona with a hook to the temple - Cardona is on wobbly legs here! Laguera swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Cardona falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Laguera wins by TKO!
