The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Silva throws a lazy head kick
and Ribbit makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Silva connects with a high kick.
Ribbit takes a swing at Silva's ribcage but misses.
Silva is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Ribbit swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Silva cracks Ribbit with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ribbit throws a big shot that misses.
Silva lands a head kick!
Silva punishes Ribbit's body with a nice straight punch.

Ribbit jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Oh Ribbit is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ribbit throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ribbit seems to have got his legs back now.
That kick from Ribbit tenderised Silva's leg. Silva is trying to keep his angry face on.

Ribbit lands a slapping body shot.
Silva walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ribbit.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ribbit swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Silva misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ribbit.
Despite the aggression on Silva's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Ribbit moves out of range easily.
Ribbit looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Ribbit throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.
Silva is looking for the big counter here.
Silva throws a head kick that Ribbit semi-blocks.
Silva tries to clinch but Ribbit is having none of it.
Silva stalks Ribbit and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ribbit's face. Ribbit staggers backwards, shaken.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ribbit throws an overhand right that lands on Silva's shoulder, as Silva tries to avoid the shot.
Silva throws a head kick but Ribbit moves out of range.

Silva has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Ribbit takes a kick to the side of the head.
Silva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ribbit. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.

Ribbit throws a jab when Silva was well out of range.

Silva scores with a one two! Ribbit had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Silva lands a two punch combo.
The fighters circle, before Silva throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Ribbit's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Silva lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
