Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maksim Taranin (ranked 1194 p4p, 471 weight class) and Rickson Caceres (ranked 105 p4p, 39 weight class). Maksim Taranin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maksim Taranin!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rickson Caceres!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Taranin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Caceres on his heels. He'll look to pass Caceres's guard now, I'm sure.

Taranin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Caceres escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Taranin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

I would just about give that final round to Rickson Caceres.
Well Caceres has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
