Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector Gray (ranked 2324 p4p, 1491 weight class) and Ghengis Khan (ranked 111 p4p, 73 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Gray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Ghengis Khan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A big right from Khan misses.

and Gray counters with a nice uppercut.
Gray on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
A slow jab from Khan misses its intended target.
Khan throws a looping overhand right but Gray ducks down to avoid it.
Gray looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hector Gray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Khan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gray on the side of the head.

It looks like Hector Gray has been cut.

Gray decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gray tries to pass the half guard into mount. Khan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Gray can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Khan controls the pace.

Gray has his foot on Khan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Khan works his way back into a safe position though.

I've been told that Khan has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

I was talking to Gray's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A short body shot lands from Khan as the two fighters clinch.

That's time! Gray's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Khan looks to land a left hand but Gray moved out of range nicely.
Khan throws an overhand right that lands on Gray's shoulder, as Gray tries to avoid the shot.

Gray drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Gray working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Gray postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Khan looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Gray throwing strikes from guard but Khan blocks nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gray wants to control from the top but Khan keeps moving.
Gray is fighting to break Khan's control of his arms but Khan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Gray has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Gray changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khan tries to avoid it but Gray manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khan to the ground. Khan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Khan steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Gray.
Gray displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Khan throws out the jab.
A quick step to the side and Gray tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ghengis Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gray swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Khan throws a looping overhand right but Gray ducks down to avoid it.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Khan tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Khan is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Khan drops Gray onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Gray is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Gray is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Khan lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Gray to his knees! Khan keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ghengis Khan!
