Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Uchima Gonshiro!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonshiro uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by River .

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

River keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gonshiro's head.
River knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gonshiro on the ground.
River stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gonshiro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gonshiro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but River can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

River controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Gonshiro is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. River is aware though and is defending well.

Gonshiro looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but River is defending well. Gonshiro quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! River has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Gonshiro celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
