The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mostakaev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Reynolds swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mostakaev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Reynolds manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Reynolds takes a swing at Mostakaev's ribcage but misses.
Reynolds shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mostakaev's guard.
Reynolds slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mostakaev is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reynolds is aware though and is defending well.
Reynolds has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

A very excited looking Kyril Mostakaev rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
