The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Lueoy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lueoy throws a right and a left that both miss.
Horrible takedown by Newsome or perhaps it was just good defense by Lueoy which made him look bad.
Lueoy lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Lueoy throws a series of punches but Newsome moves out of range.
Lueoy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lueoy misses with the combination.
Lueoy keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Newsome.
Good work by Newsome as he checks the leg kick.
Newsome avoids a kick to the body.
Newsome throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Newsome checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Newsome shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Lueoy listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A left lands for Lueoy.
Newsome fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lueoy throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Lueoy fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Newsome on the side of the head.
Lueoy tries to bum rush Newsome with a series of wild strikes but Newsome uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Newsome takes a jab right on the kisser.

Newsome is rocked!
Lueoy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Newsome counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Newsome has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Lueoy defend it? Newsome steps over the head and cranks it - Lueoy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Newsome!
