The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finalizador circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rieder tries to close the distance and clinch up but Finalizador swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice takedown defense from Rieder. No joy for Finalizador on that attempt.
Rieder is looking to clinch but Finalizador is avoiding it.

Rieder fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Finalizador, pushing him back against the cage.
Rieder looking to throw knees to the head but Finalizador is blocking nicely.

Finalizador wants the takedown. Rieder is fighting it off but Finalizador persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rieder's guard against the cage.
Rieder is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Finalizador pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rieder is keeping the position for now.
Rieder wants to stand but Finalizador is controlling the position.
Finalizador trying to control the position from guard on top but Rieder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Finalizador won't allow Rieder to get back to his feet.
Finalizador forces his way into half guard.

Rieder is trying to stand up here but Finalizador is controlling him well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rieder is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rieder tries to clinch there but Finalizador circles away.

Rieder closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rieder tries to land a knee to the head but Finalizador blocks with his arms.

Finalizador ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Finalizador no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Finalizador working for a triangle but Rieder defends it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Finalizador is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Rieder rolls with it to try and escape but Finalizador cranks on the arm and Rieder is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
