Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dempsey ONeill (ranked 1120 p4p, 1991 weight class) and Jeremy Cross (ranked 134 p4p, 216 weight class). Cross is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Folk Metal. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dempsey ONeill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jeremy Cross!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cross throws a shot from downtown. ONeill moves away and avoids it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
ONeill uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cross.
ONeill feinted there with a counter leg kick.
ONeill misses with a leg kick
and Cross makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
ONeill chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Cross slips under a jab from ONeill.
ONeill with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Cross on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
ONeill smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Cross misses with a lunging right hand
and ONeill counters with a straight right hand.
ONeill moves in looking to clinch but Cross pushes him off.
ONeill on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cross has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from ONeill.
A jab from ONeill misses.
Cross uses good head movement to avoid the hook from ONeill.
ONeill dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cross. That did some damage!
ONeill connects with an inside leg kick.
Cross throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
ONeill slips a straight right by Cross.
Cross throws a big shot that misses.
ONeill lands with an uppercut that bounces Cross off the ropes and back into range.

That's one minute gone in the round.

and ONeill counters with a nice leg kick.
ONeill moves out of range of the strikes.
ONeill with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
ONeill blocks a jab.
As Cross backs away, ONeill returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
ONeill scores with a jab. Cross acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
ONeill moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Cross misses with an uppercut. ONeill saw that one coming.
ONeill looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cross fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but ONeill is out of range.
A little feinted left hand from ONeill on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
ONeill throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Cross swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Cross throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
ONeill appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Cross throws a head kick that ONeill semi-blocks.

It looks like Dempsey ONeill has been cut.
Cross looks to land a right hand but ONeill moved out of range.
No joy there for ONeill, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
ONeill fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Cross might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
A left lands for ONeill.

Cross connects with a beautiful left hand that drops ONeill onto his butt! ONeill bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.
ONeill walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! ONeill is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Jeremy Cross!
