Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drew Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drew Baker looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Drew Baker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Fisher stuffs the takedown attempt from Baker. Baker gets slowly back to his feet.
Fisher misses with a two punch combination.
Baker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fisher as he jumps to the side.
Baker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fisher but Fisher pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Drew Baker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fisher gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
A hook to the body from Fisher.

Baker has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fisher clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Baker is breathing heavily.
Fisher tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Fisher thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Baker goes for a takedown in the clinch but Fisher prevents it.

Fisher jumps into guard, dragging Baker to the mat.
Fisher manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Baker manages to get himself to full guard.
Fisher is looking to stand up but Baker won't let him.
Baker manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Baker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

so Fisher counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fisher won't allow Baker to sweep him here.
Fisher slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Fisher tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Fisher decides to stand back up.
Baker shoots in but no luck this time.
Fisher rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Baker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Baker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Baker has closed the distance and engaged Fisher in a clinch.

Baker is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fisher gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Baker tries to score a body lock takedown but Fisher shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Fisher lands a body shot in the clinch.
Fisher tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Baker just stands there and leans against the cage.

Baker has picked Fisher up - he's going for a ride! Baker dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Baker stands up and beckons Fisher to join him on the feet.

Fisher wants to clinch but Baker slips to the side

and Baker counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Baker.

Fisher has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Baker off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Fisher decides to stand back up.
Baker is looking to clinch but Fisher is avoiding it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Baker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fisher is fending him off so far but Baker persists. Nope, Fisher circles away and we're back to standing.
Fisher throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Baker tries for a takedown but Fisher sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Baker fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Fisher doesn't manage to clinch there - Baker circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Fisher dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Baker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fisher as he avoids it easily.
Steve Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Baker counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fisher won't be happy with that.
The strikes coming from Baker are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Fisher manages to work his way to half guard, despite Baker's best efforts.
Fisher flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Baker wants to control from the top but Fisher keeps moving.
Baker postures up and lands a big shot to Fisher's brow.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fisher has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Baker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Baker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fisher swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fisher working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fisher wants to stand and escape but Baker is having none of it.

Fisher has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Baker is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Fisher.
Baker looks up at the clock and then as Fisher takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Baker smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Baker fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Fisher is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Baker's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Baker's back!
Fisher has the hooks in. Baker is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Fisher tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Baker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Baker takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baker is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Baker wants to free his trapped foot but Fisher is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Baker throws a strike but Fisher rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Baker throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Fisher advances position into side control!

Fisher is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Baker looks calm but he's in trouble here. Fisher gets his head over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Baker is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Fisher lets go of the hold and Baker can pop his arm back in it's socket.
