The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sugawara misses with a hook. Pran ducked under it nicely.
Naoto Sugawara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sugawara stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Pran has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pran there as he acknowledges the shot.
Pran shoots in looking for a takedown. Sugawara tries to sprawl out of it but Pran keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sugawara manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Naoto Sugawara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mr Pran.

Sugawara connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pran momentarily.
Sugawara lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pran circles away quickly and effectively.
Sugawara lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sugawara connects with a jab.
Sugawara scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Sugawara lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Pran is rocked!
Sugawara walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Pran drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Sugawara swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Pran's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
