The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carniege swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Carniege tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sabre is able to avoid easily.
Feodore Sabre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sabre shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Sabre drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sabre jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Carniege is looking to stand up but Sabre isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Sabre is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Carniege wants to get back to his feet but Sabre is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Carniege dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
