The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferreira shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ferreira showed some decent athleticism there.

Guia rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ferreira moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Guia has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ferreira is proving hard to escape from.

Ferreira had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Guia is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ferreira Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Guia 's back instead.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Guia is having to fend off submission attempts from Ferreira, who is looking to sink in the choke. Ferreira doesn't have the hooks in though and Guia manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Guia tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ferreira is trying to control Guia 's posture but Guia avoids it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Guia tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ferreira paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ferreira closes this distance looking for a takedown but Guia circles away.

and Ferreira counters with a shoot takedown. Guia fights it but they end up in guard.
Guia is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Ferreira dives into side control.
