PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tornado Killer (ranked 25297 p4p, 3964 weight class) and Winner Exotic (ranked 0 p4p, 317 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Exotic as he jumps to the side.
Exotic throws a big counter head kick but Killer avoids it with no problem.
Exotic looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Killer throws the kick towards the body but Exotic avoids it.

Killer clinches up with Exotic and pushes him back against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Killer jumps guard but Exotic turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Killer is trying to pull guard but Exotic has him pressed against the cage.

Killer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Exotic avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Exotic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Killer rushes Exotic and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Killer decides to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Exotic wants to stand but Killer is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Exotic can do anything to dispel that myth.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Killer shoots in for a takedown but Exotic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Killer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Exotic has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Killer seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Exotic can turn it around.

Killer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Exotic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Exotic takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Killer is trying to control the position but Exotic postures up.
Killer lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Killer decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Exotic lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Killer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Exotic as he avoids it easily.
Winner Exotic seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Killer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Exotic's waist but Exotic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Killer off to one side.
Exotic lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Killer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Killer is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Exotic to keep the fight standing.
Killer misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Exotic.
Killer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Exotic walks away with a smile on his face. Killer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nice takedown defense from Exotic. No joy for Killer on that attempt.
Exotic unleashes a big counter combination but Killer bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Killer wants to clinch up but Exotic keeps it at a distance.
Killer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Exotic tries to counter by closing the distance.
Exotic misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Killer shoots in but no luck this time.

Exotic gets the takedown into side control.

Killer sneaks out the side door and pushes Exotic away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
