Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshi Gomi (ranked 3275 p4p, 4156 weight class) and Marian Herzog (ranked 182 p4p, 217 weight class). Gomi comes to the cage accompanied by The Only Thing The Fear is You- DOOM Eternal OST. Marian Herzog is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi cracks Herzog with a right hand to the side of the head.
Gomi jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A telegraphed right hand from Gomi misses the target.
Herzog looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Gomi misses with a hook. Herzog ducked under it nicely.
Gomi lands with a good body shot.
Gomi lands with a hook. Herzog tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Gomi tests Herzog's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Herzog drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Herzog missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Herzog wants to stand but Gomi is controlling his posture from full guard.
Gomi wants to get back to his feet but Herzog is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gomi has momentary wrist control but Herzog slips an elbow through the middle.
Herzog won't allow Gomi to get back to his feet.
Gomi is wriggling around but Herzog manages to pass to half guard.
Herzog drops an elbow to the side of Gomi's head.
Gomi is trying to stand back up but Herzog is controlling him
Gomi's coaches at Dillo's Deadly Dojo have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Herzog wants to free his trapped foot but Gomi is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Herzog prevents Gomi from standing back up.
Herzog seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gomi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Gomi is defending against the submission attempts here by Herzog.
Gomi looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Gomi stuffs the takedown.
Hiroshi Gomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Herzog shoots in for a takedown but Gomi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Gomi darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Hiroshi Gomi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gomi misses with a looping left.
Herzog looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Herzog moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Herzog doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Herzog fails with the takedown.
Hiroshi Gomi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marian Herzog.
Gomi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Herzog's head backwards.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gomi feints with a jab and clips Herzog right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Herzog is sent crashing into the canvas and Gomi leaps in for the kill! Herzog tries to get to his feet but Gomi is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Herzog is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hiroshi Gomi!
After winning the bout, Hiroshi Gomi thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
