Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Beto Ribeiro!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro loads up on a big right hand but Escobar slips the punch.
Escobar shoots in for a takedown but Ribeiro shows good takedown defense.
Ribeiro slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Escobar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ribeiro.
Escobar misses with a takedown attempt
and Ribeiro counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Escobar is rocked!
Escobar goes for a double leg but Ribeiro avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ribeiro continues to drive forward.
Ribeiro throws out a counter right but Escobar avoids it with no problem.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fidel Escobar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ribeiro breaks the clinch.
Escobar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ribeiro but Ribeiro pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Escobar is defended easily by Ribeiro.
Ribeiro looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Escobar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ribeiro tries to avoid it but Escobar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ribeiro to the ground. Ribeiro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Escobar gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Ribeiro gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
