Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ansis Kaupens!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kersikov blocks a head kick by Kaupens.
As Kaupens tries to get set, Kersikov tries to push him back and clinch up but Kaupens manages to avoid the attempt.
A nice combination there by Kaupens.
Ansis Kaupens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kaupens throws a nice looking combination but Kersikov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kersikov needs to keep his hands up - Kaupens had a free shot at his head there.
Kaupens thows a body kick. Kersikov tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Kaupens ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A jab from Kaupens misses.
Kersikov is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Kaupens.
Kaupens connects with a nice looking jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kersikov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kaupens pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Kaupens uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Kaupens is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kersikov moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Kersikov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kaupens lands a brutal head kick. Kersikov looks out on his feet and Kaupens throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
