Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Reeves (ranked 4017 p4p, 23690 weight class) and Hristo Borisov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 26 - 0, fighting out of London, William Reeves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Hristo Borisov!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reeves shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Borisov is trying to defend but Reeves finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Reeves is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Borisov is defending against the submission attempts here by Reeves.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Borisov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Borisov wants to control but Reeves is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Reeves is trying to work for a kimura but Borisov is defending well.
Reeves wants to take a breather but Borisov is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Borisov tries to roll over but Reeves keeps him under control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
A head kick misses from Borisov.
Borisov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Reeves moves away.

and Borisov counters with a shoot takedown. Reeves fights it but they end up in guard.
Borisov wants to control from the top but Reeves keeps moving.
Reeves is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Borisov is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reeves is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Borisov defends well.

Reeves is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Reeves is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Reeves is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Borisov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Reeves.

Reeves seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Reeves has control of Borisov's left arm, preventing Borisov from doing any damage.

Reeves isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Borisov stacks Reeves on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Borisov!

Borisov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Reeves striking off his back but it's not causing Borisov any problems.

Reeves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Borisov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Borisov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Borisov is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Reeves throws a low kick but it's checked well by Borisov.

That was a close second round but I would say that William Reeves will probably get the nod.

Reeves throws a series of punches but Borisov moves out of range.
Borisov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reeves tries to avoid it but Borisov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reeves to the ground. Reeves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Reeves went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Borisov shoots in looking for a takedown. Reeves tries to sprawl out of it but Borisov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reeves manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Reeves is looking to counter punch.
Borisov misses with a takedown attempt - Reeves sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
William Reeves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hristo Borisov.

Borisov shoots in looking for a takedown but Reeves manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Borisov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The ground and pound from Borisov seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
You can see the frustration on Reeves's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Reeves is looking to regain half guard here but Borisov keeps moving and retains side control.

Reeves flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Borisov throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Reeves can't keep his opponent in guard - Borisov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
William Reeves is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Borisov is looking for a kimura but Reeves is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Borisov to get the leverage.

Borisov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

I would just about give that final round to Hristo Borisov.
