Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Randy Tessin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Traicho Traev!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tessin lands a slapping body shot.
Tessin stuns Traev with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Traev.
Traev postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Tessin wants to control but Traev postures up.
Traev in the domination position with Tessin hanging on.
Tessin is trying to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
You can see the frustration on Tessin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Traev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tessin is holding Traev down, trying to stall.

Traev can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tessin is looking to escape.
Tessin tries to lock up and control but Traev gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Traev sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Tessin tries to hold on but Traev postures up.
Tessin is squirming around, avoiding Traev's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Tessin wants to control but Traev is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tessin tries to reverse the position but Traev maintains control.

Tessin moves into the clinch.
Tessin looking for a takedown.
Tessin lands a nice uppercut.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Traev. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Tessin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Traev avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Traev seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tessin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Tessin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Tessin seems keen to control Traev's posture.
Tessin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Traev on the ground.
Tessin looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Traev puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Traev is taking a breather. Tessin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Tessin tries to get to full guard but Traev has control of the leg.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tessin is looking to control Traev's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tessin avoid being mounted?
Traev prevents Tessin from improving his position.
Traev passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tessin!
Tessin is trying desperately to improve position.
Tessin tries to lock up and control but Traev gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Tessin prevents any damage by holding on tight.
Tessin wants to control but Traev is having none of it.
Tessin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tessin tries to get out of the position.
Tessin bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

We've been informed that Traev has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Traev is breathing heavily.

Tessin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Traev manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tessin has Traev in his guard.

Tessin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Tessin continues to stall.
Tessin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Traev is one step ahead there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Tessin is controlling Traev's posture.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Traicho Traev showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Traev lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tessin circles away quickly and effectively.

Tessin is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Tessin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Traev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Tessin is tightening it up a little... Traev has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Traev reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Traev taps out! Nice BJJ there by Tessin!
