The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolen swats away the attempt to clinch by Barry.
Barry is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Bolen closes the distance and pushes Barry back into the cage.
Barry tries to pull guard but Bolen won't allow it.
Barry blocks the elbow strike.
Barry jumps guard but Bolen turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Barry jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bolen walks away with a smile on his face. Barry gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Pat Barry's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Barry takes an elbow to the forehead.
Bolen lands an elbow inside that Barry shrugs off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bolen's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Bolen is pushing Barry up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Barry tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bolen has Barry pressed against the cage. He pushes Barry back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Bolen throws a beautiful elbow that sends Barry crashing to the floor! Bolen piles on the pressure with more strikes! Barry is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
