PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bob Killer (ranked 3900 p4p, 6126 weight class) and Aniruddha Anand (ranked 203 p4p, 258 weight class). Anand has chosen Swag Se Segat by Salman Khan & Katrina Kaif as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aniruddha Anand!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anand lands a nice looking body shot.
Anand lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Anand looking to score a takedown here. Killer is defending well but Anand drives through and ends up in Killer's guard.
Anand is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Killer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Anand is pushing down on Killer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Killer is fighting to maintain full guard but Anand has managed to sneak the leg through.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Anand is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Killer is just riding it out for now. Anand eventually gives up the hold.
Anand content to control rather than advance.

Anand looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Anand is looking to advance position but Killer won't allow it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Anand is working for a submission of some sort.
Anand tries to pass to full mount but Killer defends it.
Anand wants to take a breather but Killer is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anand is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Killer gets full guard.
Anand stands and throws Killer's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Anand is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Killer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Anand is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Killer has escaped the position, nice work there.
Anand wants to lay and pray for a moment but Killer keeps working.

Anand is trying to get an arm triangle but Killer is defending well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Anand throws an elbow but Killer slips to the side and avoids it well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Aniruddha Anand dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Anand changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Killer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Anand has hold of Killer's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Killer seems comfortable defending it but Anand has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Killer is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Killer is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Anand couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Aniruddha Anand!
A very excited looking Aniruddha Anand rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
