Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tsuyoi Empi (ranked 24667 p4p, 24938 weight class) and Jumpin Jahosafat (ranked 239 p4p, 220 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jahosafat gets tackled into the cage by Empi. Empi maintains the clinch.

Empi manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Jahosafat avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Empi is pulling down on Jahosafat's head. It's preventing any offense from Jahosafat, at least for the moment.

Jahosafat postures up in Empi's guard and throws a big left but Empi blocks it.

Empi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Empi lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Empi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jahosafat circles away.
Jahosafat is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Jahosafat displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Empi.

Empi darts in and clinches Jahosafat up against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Empi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Empi wriggles free and stands up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jahosafat shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Empi as he avoids it easily.
Jahosafat stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jahosafat wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tsuyoi Empi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jahosafat darts in looking for a takedown but Empi gets double underhooks and turns Jahosafat into the cage.

Empi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jahosafat has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Empi is on him like a limpet, forcing Jahosafat back against the cage.
Jahosafat tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Empi jumps into guard, dragging Jahosafat to the mat.

Empi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jahosafat can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Empi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jahosafat manages to get himself to full guard.

Empi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Jahosafat thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Jahosafat is working an open guard so Empi takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Empi misses with a takedown attempt - Jahosafat sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jahosafat looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Empi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Empi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Jahosafat quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Empi has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Empi is standing up, even though he is in mount.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Jahosafat bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Empi throws Jahosafat to one side and escapes!
Jahosafat tries a head kick but it misses.

We've been informed that Jahosafat has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Jahosafat shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Empi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jahosafat is trying hard to land a takedown here. Empi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Empi seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Empi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jahosafat manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Empi engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Jahosafat throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Empi escapes and throws Jahosafat's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Jahosafat is breathing heavily.

Empi working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Empi has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Empi clinches with his opponent.
Jahosafat jumps guard but Empi stands there with Jahosafat around his waist. Jahosafat gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Tsuyoi Empi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jumpin Jahosafat.
Empi lands an elbow inside that Jahosafat shrugs off.
Jahosafat can't get the takedown.
Empi works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Empi lands with a short head shot on the inside.

It looks like Jumpin Jahosafat has been cut.

Empi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Empi clinches up against the cage.
Empi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jahosafat can do to turn this around?

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Empi has cracked Jahosafat with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Empi lands another huge swinging hook and Jahosafat tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Jahosafat, before Empi can land any more shots!
