Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Baldimir Zsofka (ranked 1310 p4p, 1968 weight class) and Fiore Azul (ranked 173 p4p, 242 weight class). Zsofka's entrance music is Raid - MF DOOM . A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baldimir Zsofka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fiore Azul!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zsofka misses with a straight left.
Azul closes the distance looking to clinch
and Zsofka counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Zsofka swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Azul drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Zsofka defends it well.
Zsofka swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Azul.
Azul throws a low kick, looking for Zsofka's leg but Zsofka calmly moves out of range.
Zsofka takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Azul lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Azul takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Zsofka throws the kick towards the body but Azul avoids it.
Azul only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Azul shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Baldimir Zsofka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zsofka is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Azul throws a series of punches but Zsofka avoids them all with ease.
Zsofka misses with a hook. Azul ducked under it nicely.
Zsofka shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Azul feints a counter leg kick.

Zsofka pivots, looking for a leg kick but Azul is out of range and Zsofka settles back down.
Zsofka loads up on a big right hand but Azul slips the punch.
Nice uppercut lands for Zsofka. That snapped Azul's head back.

Azul will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Zsofka throws a lazy head kick
and Azul counters with a nice uppercut.
Zsofka slips under a jab from Azul.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Azul might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Zsofka has got the better of the exchanges.
Zsofka takes one to the side of the head.
A decent looking cross lands there for Zsofka.
Zsofka throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Azul digs a good hook to Zsofka's body.
Zsofka has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

It seemed like Azul was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Azul fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zsofka manages to avoid it.

Zsofka is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Azul can do to turn this around?

Zsofka throws a chopping leg kick but Azul manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Azul lands a jab.
Zsofka takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Zsofka dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Zsofka lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Baldimir Zsofka is winning the standup battle so far.
Zsofka dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Azul. That did some damage!
Zsofka takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Azul does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Zsofka went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Zsofka was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Zsofka throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Zsofka uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Azul.

and Azul counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Zsofka is rocked!
Azul Throws a clean left jab. Azul Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Zsofka's chin! Zsofka crumbles to the ground and Azul follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Azul!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Fiore Azul!
