Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Lawler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronald Vega!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawler looks to land a combination but Vega avoids it well.

and Lawler counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Vega really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lawler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Vega is pulling down on Lawler's head. It's preventing any offense from Lawler, at least for the moment.
Vega is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bob Lawler will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
